About On My Own
Our Mission
On My Own has been a leading provider of supported and independent living services in Los Angeles since 2009. We are a community-based service agency dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities in various areas such as health, home maintenance, social/emotional well-being, communication, self-advocacy, financial management, cognitive skills, nutrition, mobility, and community safety. Our mission is to provide the best care to our consumers who seek independence and awareness within their own communities.
Our Organization
All of our team members provide person-centered services through specialized training and education at our participants' setting of choice. Our knowledgeable Supported Living Skills (SLS) and Independent Living Skills (ILS) staff have previously held roles as a Family Way Social Service Coordinator (SSC), Adult Residential Facility Administrator (ARFA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Los Angeles County Probation Detention Service Officer (DSO), Physical Therapist Assistant (P.T.A.), Assistive Technologist Professional (A.T.P), and Medical Social Worker Assistant (MSWA). On My Own's expertise also stems from our directors who have over 20 years of experience working with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in the areas of Long-Term Care (SNF/ICF), Home Health (H.H), Adult Residential Facilities (ARF), Assistive Living Facilities Out-Patient Rehabilitation, and Adult Day Health Centers (ADHC).
